non-other. It sure brought back memories of our Sunday dinners. In Michigan we had breakfast, lunch and supper. But on Sundays, it was dinner.
This home was built with Jeff and Sue's hands. The craftsmanship inside and out is stunning. They pulled the cedar from the frozen swamps (easier in the winter). Their first home sold faster than expected so with two young boys, moved into the unfinished home and built it up (literally) around them.
Of course, heating this beautiful home requires an annual delivery of wood. The crisp autumn air was wafting the smoker's aroma around us (Jeff had ribs smoking) as we watched the driver unload his logs. Unfortunately, our schedule did not allow us to stay and help Jeff cut and stack the wood, but we were with him in spirit. We had just stacked our winter piles before leaving for our road trip.
